Mumbai: In an exciting Indian Premier League encounter on Thursday, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) posted a total of 162 runs for the loss of five wickets against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in Mumbai.
After being asked to bat first, SRH benefited from solid performances by Abhishek Sharma, who scored 40 runs off 28 deliveries, and Heinrich Klaasen, who contributed 37 runs. Travis Head added 28 runs, while Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with 19. Aniket Verma's late surge, scoring 18 runs off just 8 balls, helped the team surpass the 160-run threshold.
On the bowling front for MI, Will Jacks was the standout performer, taking 2 wickets for just 14 runs. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Trent Boult also claimed one wicket each, with figures of 1/42, 1/21, and 1/29 respectively.
